Parade Applications Due April 1, 2018

Long Beach Lesbian and Gay Pride application due date is approaching. This year the deadline is April 1, 2018.  This is the 35th Annual Long Beach Pride™ Parade and this year’s theme is “Remember the Past, Create the Future”. Join thousands of LGBTQ+Q community members and supporters as they march down Ocean Blvd. on Sunday, May 20th, with step off at 10:30 am on the scenic Ocean Blvd at Lindero Avenue.

 

 

Labeled one of the nation’s best Pride venues, Long Beach Lesbian & Gay Pride is proud to carry on this annual event to move equality forward in America and allow festival goers a safe environment to be who they were born to be. The annual parade has been featured on the international hit show “Vanderpumps Rules”, as well as, broadcast to over 22 media outlets throughout the nation. “It is such an honor to welcome our community and guest to once again participate in moving equality forward within our city, as well as, our international community by participating in our 35th Annual parade”, said Denise Newman, President of Long Beach Lesbian and Gay Pride, Inc. “Now more than ever the need to regroup and focus on equal rights is needed in our nation”, continued Newman.

 

If you are planning to participate in this year’s parade, applications will not be accepted after April 1, 2018. This year’s parade street closures are along Ocean Boulevard and are as follows: 5:00 am from Redondo to Lindero Avenue.  At 8:00 am, from Lindero Avenue to Cherry Avenue and at 8:30 am closures from Cherry Avenue to Alamitos Avenue and around the curve to Broadway.
