major city in between to an audience of 48 million.
Kurt's curiosity for technology and gadgets began as a young boy.
From the home intercom system to the nightstand radio, Kurt disassembled
and dissected nearly every electronic device in his Mom and Dad's
house.
A fascination with the tech world is apparent when you watch Kurt
try just about anything to put technology to the test, including
his experiment of living cooped up in his Cyber Bus for a week.
Yes, he survived and his fresh approach to technology storytelling
won him the Columbia University Journalism Award.
Kurt's technology expertise was put to the test when he found
himself trapped in downtown New Orleans during Hurricane Katrina.
He rigged an old analog phone, enabling him to give up-close and
personal accounts of his experience as he built alliances to share
his melted Kit-Kat bars, stale muffins and survival strategy.
His compelling firsthand reports allowed millions of viewers across
the country to see the best and worse of the human experience.
Everyone from technology titans like eBay's Meg Whitman and Amazon's
