Long Beach Lesbian and Gay Pride is Proud to Announce the 35th Annual Long Beach Gay Pride Theme “Remember the Past, Create the Future”

Long Beach Lesbian and Gay Pride is proud to announce the 35th Annual Long Beach Gay Pride Theme “Remember the Past, Create the Future”. The theme was chosen from the InterPride organization which Long Beach Pride™ is a member. Join Pride for the next Long Beach Lesbian & Gay Pride celebration on May 19 & 20, 2018 from
11 am – 10 pm along Shoreline Drive, with the parade on Sunday, May 20th, with a start time of 10:30 am on Ocean Blvd.

InterPride is an international organization representing and composed of producers of pride events for the LGBTQ+ community that celebrate lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBTQ+) culture and pride. Each year the members select a theme that is carried out by its Pride organizational members throughout the world. InterPride exists to promote Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Pride on an international level, to increase networking and communication among Pride Organizations and to encourage diverse communities to hold and attend Pride events and to act as a source of education. InterPride is a voice for the LGBTQ+I community around the world. We stand up for inequality and fight injustice everywhere. Our member organizations share the latest news so that we are able to react internationally and make a difference.

 

Over the past several years, the Long Beach Lesbian and Gay Pride Celebration has become one of the premiere Pride events nationwide now attracting over 80,000 participants over two days. The Festival Celebration includes six large dance areas including a main stage which has featured musical artists such as Grammy Award Winner Jennifer Hudson, Queen Latifah, Chaka Kahn, Maya, India.Arie., and Village People.
