Long Beach Lesbian and Gay Pride Announces the 2017 Long Beach Gay Pride Parade Commentators

Monday, May 1, 2017 – Long Beach Lesbian and Gay Pride is proud to announce the 34th Annual Long Beach Gay Pride Parade Announcers; Jewels, Isa and Josie Rached, Bella Farrow, Robbie Osa and Missy Vee.

This year’s parade announcers consist of community superstars! The Parade will begin at step off on Ocean Blvd and Lindero Avenue, with the hot multi-talented Diva, Missy Vee. She was crowned Miss Gay Pride 2016 and is a part of the Imperial Court of Long Beach!

At parade central, we have the three wonderful personalities to get everyone fired up for the parade. All three hosts are true advocates that support the LGBTQ+Q Long Beach community. This includes the one and only Jewels, a very talented community superstar who produces and hosts dozens of events, shows, and fundraisers throughout all of Southern California. In the grand stand at parade central is the brother and sister duo, Isa and Josie Rached. They are part-owner, with their mom, of The B Room Barber Shop in downtown Long Beach. Besides being young business owners, they are involved in their community, by giving back with their annual charity event, “Its a Drag to Give” every year in December. It’s a Drag to Give consists of various people of the community doing drag for the first time to raise toys, jackets and money for local Long Beach nonprofits.

At Ocean Blvd and Alamitos “on the curve”, is Long Beach’s’ and Los Angeles’s hottest Latina Impersonator, Bella Farrow. She host several shows in LA and Orange County but is best known for her own show every Monday at Hamburger Mary’s Long Beach, called “MARGARITA MARY’S for 3 years already being the only bilingual show in Long Beach. Joining Bella is Long Beach’s Robbie Osos! Robbie started her drag career in Long Beach, 2012 and since then, has been performing all over California. She is a member of the Latin Divas of Long Beach and also has her own show called Wepa Wednesday’s at Faultline Bar in Silverlake. Robbie also graduated in 2013 from CSULB and is an Alumnus of Delta Lambda Phi- Gay, Bi and Progressive social fraternity.

About the parade…the parade day starts off at 8:00 am with the Shoreline Front Runners Pride Run on Junipero Avenue at Ocean Blvd. The run will be along the beach path. At 9:30 am, join the action at Parade Central, on Ocean Blvd, between Junipero and Cherry for the Orlando 49, a tribute in honor of the lives lost at the Pulse nightclub last year.

There will also be a lots of prize giveaways which include FREE Long Beach Gay Pride Festival tickets, tee shirts, and much more! At 10:30 am the parade kicks off! With over 150 entries, it’s a spectacular street show that includes everything from Drag Queens and Kings to Zombies to celebrate LGBTQ+Q Pride. You don’t want to miss one of the world’s largest Gay Pride Parade’s!

This year’s street closures are along Ocean Boulevard and are as follows:
5:00 am from Redondo to Lindero Avenue. At 7:00 am, from Lindero Avenue to Cherry Avenue and at 8:30 am closures from Cherry Avenue to Alamitos Avenue and around the curve to Broadway.

No selling of food, merchandise, nonalcoholic drinks, unless you’re registered as a parade vendors. No alcoholic beverages are allowed on the parade route.
